A Toronto Conference gets planned. Someone says “Hey, let’s invite Naik!” Everybody else presumably knows or should care who and what this guy is, or that attracting controversy to their Conference as free advertising might be a mixed blessing.

Poor Raggy is no stranger to controversy on the larger stage, either: “… the FBI claimed Imam Rageah had been fundraising for the Global Relief Foundation, a charity that was allegedly tied to Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda” and “During the investigation into the 9/11 attacks, it emerged that two of the hijackers who crashed a plane into the Pentagon, Nawaf al Hazmi and Khalid al Mihdhar, had left their belongings at the [Ayah Islamic Centre] mosque two days before the attacks” … where coincidentally enough our very own Saed Rageah was the Imam!

That Raggy has 9/11 and Al-Quaeda connections is not surprising. After all, such “coincidences’ popped up at RIS-8, and anywhere you look at radical Muslims inspired by the islamic Brootherhood. Keeping secrets and scheming and supporting the War On Infidel and talking smoothly to whitey is all part of it. That’s why, although the Western legal standard is innocent until proven guilty, for Terror-connected islam-supremacists with scary friends and associations, it’s better to demand that they prove they are clean from Islamo-fascism and Muslim Brotherhood inspiration.

I’m willing to bet that JihadStock-’10 is RIS-8: 2.0, with the same buttery-soft stealth-jihad outside with the crunchy “You Shall Be Our Slaves, O Infidels” middle. As I’ve said before, The Muslim Brotherhood agenda is all about cultural and political domination of the world under Islam– with terrorism only as and when needed.

A Modest Proposal

Here’s an idea: what if if rabid Canucki Christer-hunters like Marci “Fact Free” MacDonald or Separatist Gilles Duceppe or Perfesser David R. Spencer turned their hatey paranoia to an actual world-wide evil religious conspiracy to take everything over such as.. say– the Muslim Brotherhood, and all the little groups, Imams & Mosques, fake foundations and all the rest inspired by it? It might get some people upset, but at least it would be a reality-based investigation.

III. Utopia, Ho!

~ WHILST PERUSING the online RIS-8 Conference material, I was struck by how much of it sounded like old-style triumphalist Marxist boilerplate.

Making a new world.. overcoming social divisions and injustice.. a new vision for youth.. the answer for life’s problems.. reviving the Islamic Jihad spirit.. Workers of the world, Unite! Islam is the answer!.. now– what was the question?

It’s a theory which, like Marxism, fails in the reality. Almost 1400 years of Muhammed’s ideas  put into effect over a swathe of the world should theoretically– according to enthusiastic RIS prescriptions for Canada and the West– have led to a peaceful, harmonious, just, and prosperous paradise on earth.

The reality of warring caliphates, blood and murder, plunder and rapine, then the Turks uber alles of the Byzantine Ottoman Empire, and even today the poverty, low literacy, lack of political and intellectual freedom, third-class status for women and fourth-class status for non-Muslims; a lack of scientific and high culture; inward-looking societies of self-defeat and excuses; and a lot of neo-Hitlerian anti-semitism and anti-Christian prejudice?

Is that all there is? Is this paradise? Was it paradise under the sultans? Or even under Muhammed himself? Blaming the perfidious  Jews or the colonial empires only gets you so far– at some point you have to get on with things.

This is where the similarity between Marxist utopianism and Jihadist rhetoric is clearest– the insistence that despite the ugly reality, the dream is still beautiful, and worth living and dying for– the lie that an earthly paradise or utopia is possible.

Books At Bedtime

Former Marxist David Horowitz got my mind humming along these lines last night via his must-read semi-autobiographical 1998 book The POLITICS OF BAD FAITH: The Radical Assault on America’s Future. Bad ideas such as Marxism don’t just fade away, because they are a source of false hope in a faithless and self-destructive age, despite the evidence of every failed and repressive totalitarian regime created to bring about said utopia, and every crushed freedom and murdered life left behind.

Prophetic Totalism

Islam is first and foremost an absolutist political ideology, founded on one man’s claim to be the sole and individual prophetic spokesman for his God. It’s no surprise then that in its polished 21st century pitch– particularly to idealistic Canadian Muslim High School and University kids, pre-steeped in the self-loathing Marxism and political correctness of modern academia– that the RIS Conference should use utopian & Marxist notions alongside radicalized Islamist claims that Muslim world supremacy is the only possible cure-all for the ills of humanity. The one-stop fixit. And this in the face of the real misery, backwardness, dictatorships and many other embarrassing sorrows of actual Muslim experience & history.

There’s a reason why the now-bankrupting Dubai had to hire foreign experts using Western technology and modern engineering to build their sand-castle fantasy world of Islands and super-skyscrapers on the Persian Gulf.. all funded by other people’s oil-money, using Western-invented and manufactured drilling and pipelines and transportation, all to feed prosperous Western societies.

As It Was In The Beginning…

Setting aside the usual claims to have invented everything ever out of nothing, Islam has too often proven itself to be a stagnating, uninventive, parasitic creed which grew by stealing other people’s gold and cities and empires, opportunistically incorporating previously invented philosophy, technology, arts and sciences as created by other people’s experts.

A Byzantine Christian architect & artisans did that one.. plus, it’s copied from the shape of a Byzantine martyrium, part of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, just across the Valley in Jerusalem. The big cannons used to conquer Constantinople in AD1453? Another Christian guy figured those out. The Pakistani “Islamic nukes of the 1970s? Stolen Euro-technology & Canadian reactors. And Russia is supplying Iran with atomic technology which the Russians, in turn, stole from the West during WW2 and the Cold War.

When the jihading Ottomans failed to steal the Mediterranean in the late 1500s, and Austria in the late 1600s, just like the late Soviet Union, the illusion began to collapse in on itself. As with Marxist utopianism, so imperial Islam– the longed-for Caliphate so dear to modern Islamists– was not truly self-sustaining or original, but a nightmare road to nowhere.

So the Toronto Islamist Snake Oil Conference has wrapped up, and 17000 Canadians– many of them impressionable and idealistic youth looking for a creed and a paradise, something to hope for, believe in, and work towards– head home to their schools and homes all fired up by Jihadist rhetoric and fairy-tales.

Like blindly ungrateful little utopian Marxists everywhere, while enjoying the benefits of living in freest, richest, safest, healthiest, most privileged and advanced society in the history of planet earth, the little Muslims are told to dream of and work for the exact opposite, so the whole world can be one big medieval Crapistan just like their parents or grandparents gladly escaped.

The Big Question

However, the basic question remains unanswered and unanswerable, whether you’re a Marxist utopian of whatever stripe, or a soft or hard Jihadist: Is This True? That is, how has it really worked in the real world with real people? Has it served to improve or dehumanize people? Does it promote the true, the good, and the beautiful? The dreams of Marx or Muhammed may be intoxicating and popular, but were they proved right, or not?

Otherwise, we are made mere slaves to a wrong-headed theory, and become human pretzels to be bent and twisted into the proper shape by our absolute masters, no matter the cost or consequence.

Why not ask the young protesters dying on the streets of Tehran right now how that whole ‘Islamo-paradise-on-earth’ thing is working out for them. ~

The Muslim Brotherhood Wants You!

HERE AT CANUCKI JIHAD, we’ve tried to show the interconnected web of soft-and hard Jihadist groups and individuals inside and outside Canada. We’ve also argued– along with wiser and better commentators– that the ideology of the Jihadist terror-supporting Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood lies behind many of the people and alphabet-soup list of Islamic Groups active in North American. It’s all connected.

With the new American administration, we seem to be sharply turning from the mish-mash of Bush suspicion and compromise, towards active cooperation with Muslim groups and individuals connected directly and indirectly with the Muslim Brotherhood. This could become a turn towards soft-Jihad, shari’a supremacism, and American compromise of her founding principles and international interests.

On muslims & Muslims™

After all, there’s muslims and then there’s Muslims™, so to speak. There’s people who happen to be Muslim, yet fully committed to the essential freedom and ongoing life of the West; then there’s the raft of alleged ‘moderates who– if they were honest with the rest of us– would admit they would like nothing more than an Islamified America under the boot of a worldwide Caliphate.

Some commentators worried– when the Catholic JFK ran for office of President– that if Kennedy won, then the Pope would be calling the shots. Not so much. Catholicism, after all, invented and recognizes secularity. Islam has no secular sphere: that is, a sphere within the sacred which– though still under God– operates by its own reasonable custom, law, and tradition and not direct religious law administered by clergy.

There may be lazy or secular Muslim states, but that just means they are evading the ‘rightful’ law and practice of Islam. In that sense, the secular regime of Egypt is seen by the Muslim Brotherhood as an evil and unIslamic– therefore illegitimate– government which should be resisted and overthrown, in favour of an Iranian-style theocracy.

Surrenderness

American President Barack Obama has said he’s pro-Islamic, wants to appoint lots of Muslims to office, and work with Muslim groups as part of his overal programme. But there’s muslims and then there’s Muslims™. The thus-far naive and profoundly imprudent Obama is foolishly opening the very heart of American law and government to the open, dishonest, and malevolent planes and means of groups and individuals seeking to implement the Muslim Brotherhood conquest of the West, and America in particular. He is aiding and abetting enemies of America, and their toxic agenda.

That Undefended Border

Canada is the nearest and dearest neighbour of the US; the biggest trading partner; we follow their fads and fashions in culture and society. As America goes, so goes Canada and the world.

We should stand on guard even more for this True North, if we hope to remain strong and free. Obama is even now opening the gates to the enemies of America, the West, and Christianity. This current phase of the 1400-year old jihad began with the bang of 9/11, but seems to be ending with a whimper; a simper; an apology and a ‘love me, please’ from America’s First Narcissist. There are barbarians at the gates, and he’s inviting them in, to sit next to his throne.

What fun!

The Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood is the brains-trust of the modern Jihad, hard or soft. They primarily advocate the submission of the West to Islamic law and practice, or shari’a.

Lots of groups in the U.S. have the unofficial approval of the Islamo-Supremacist Muslim Brotherhood, including ISNA, or the hard-Wahhabist Islamic Society of North America, and The Muslim Student’s Association.  These groups have Canadian offshoots.

In our recent post ‘Fighting The Squishies‘, we wrote of the attempted public knee-capping of moderate Canadian Muslim Tarek Fatah by CAIR-CAN’s Faisal Kutty. Oddly enough, Mr. Kutty showed up at last year’s ISNA-CAN 34th Annual Convention, according to this link, and YouTube vid.

So Here’s The Thing…

Logic is a pesky thing. Take the following situation.

Faisal Kutty and Tariq Ramadan and other folks like to get together at these Convention Centre conflabs, to speak and whatnot. But the ISNA-US is a pro-terror, pro-shari’a, pro-Jihad group which the bad boys of The Muslim Brotherhood appear to approve of entirely. We’ve yet to see any “..except fot the Canadian offshoots” qualifications from the IslamoFascist-HQ, but we presume the offshoots are doing much the same as the mother groups in the US.

You’re known by the company you keep. So: are Kutty & Ramadan et al. accidental idiots, or soft-jihadists? That is: are they just innocently hanging around over and over again with nasty people from nasty groups, or are they happy and glad to be there? Pick a side, and stop playing one and pretending to be the other. Whatever else you may say about him, Mr. Kutty has some serious intelligence and academic ability.

Any claim to not be onside with Islamo-Supremacism rings rather hollow when set alongside their activities and associations. If I hang around with a cross-burning white-sheeted group a lot, I may be an idiot, or a KKKer: most likely the latter, logically.

If you’re a decent human, you publicly distance yourself from haters, like Benedict XVI recently did over that anti-semitic bishop thing. If not a decent human, you just hope that fear and ignorance means the public won’t make the connections between you and various nasty groups you speak to on a regular basis.

They Have Their Reasons

You are what you are– but Islamists have reasons to hide their true and complete identity through flipping the moderate switch and talking nice to kuffar-bureaucrats in the name of dialogue and such like, all the while taking tax-dollars and supporting all the rest of their subversive activities. It’s classical radical politics 101, and our elites and chattering classes refuse to see it because of fears of being labelled racist or intolerant, and because so much of modern identity-politics is all about radical ways and means.

That’s where we are in Canada– not as far along as Western Europe or even the USSA under Obama, but slowly being drawn along the road to ever more Islamic demands, special accommodation, shari’a-zones, and government collaboration.

You can bet MP Jason Kenney is high on the list of people who won’t be missed by the radicals amongst us, who prefer a pliable or cowardly pro-Muslim, pro-shari’a government and immigration policy, to continue the slow creep of their shariafication of Canada.

Hot Truthing It

~ WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH jihadists, they’re not unlike the character Colonel Jessup as played by Jack Nicholson in the movie A Few Good Men– “You can’t handle the truth!”

The navy lawyer character played by Tom Cruise knows that the Colonel wants to brag and fess up about what really happened. And so, under intense questioning, Colonel Jessup spills the beans, just as the Navy lawyer suspected he would. So a young Marine was beaten up, leading to his death– because of an order from the Colonel.

The jihadists and sharia supremacists are quivering with a big secret. They just can’t wait to tell the Big Truth: we’re all stinking infidels, and their god and their Prophet have told them to take over the world, and they’re busy doing just that. Their deity has allegedly told them to kill Jews, behead infidels, marry hot Grade 3 girls, plunder and steal and lie. Feel the excitement.

What It’s All About

It’s all about the stealth jihad– Mohammed Boudjenane, Mohammed Elmasry, Khaled Loutfi Mouammar, Tariq Ramadan, The Muslim Student’s Association, they are all wanting to tell their secret: they are better than us, and will bury us. Islam rules forever, so there. And they will use our own laws, institutions, groups, media, taxes, and government to help them do it.

And they’re counting on that fact that most of our people and leaders don’t want to know about it– “You can’t handle the truth!”
